Organist Andre Knevel
Andre Knevel has a unique style all his own, introducing new concepts and dimensions to organ technique. He masters the largests instruments in a matter of minutes and then proceeds to draw his special, and often touching, "stop of beauty...powerful...fascinatingly intricate". It is no surprise that his work has attracted a growing interest around the world. He has 20 organ solo recordings to his name and numerous recordings as accompanist for choirs and soloists. Emigrating from Holland to Canada in 1975, Mr. Knevel completed his organ studies with John Tuttle of the Royal Conservatory of Toronto. He gives many regular recitals throughout Canada, the USA and yearly tours in Africa and throughout Europe. Mr. Knevel is also regular organist of the Mattaniah Christian Male Choir with whom he practices on a weekly basis.
